more quilting

Made another baby quilt last week for some friends expecting a girl...here's the front

and the back

and a shot of the binding and ric rac I added to the back.

I did a loopy floral pattern for the quilting and I like the way it turned out. I also want to try another quilt using the ric rac in the binding again, I love ric rac!

Wow, that's beautiful! How did you do the quilting? Do you have a normal sewing machine or a special quilting one?

What a great idea to use ric rac in a binding! It is a great way to liven up a quilt. I'm going to have to try that someday. The pink and the green look so good together too.

Thanks for all the wonderful comments! I used a regular home machine for the quilting...the key is that the quilt is only 45"x around 50" so it is easy to maneuver for free motion quilting! I did the floral pattern freehand.
